Trust That I'll Try My Best

I am formally called Confianza. It means "familiar trust" in Latin.
But since that's hard to pronounce, you may call me Zazzy.
I am of the wild Thoroughbred bloodlines.
I am a palomino pelted colt at fifteen hands high at three years old.

I don't give my trust to just anyone you know.
I have good reason for this. Most never blame me for it... But more on that later.

Like I said, I am untrusting of most humans. You must earn my trust over time and with many kind words and actions. But once you earned my trust, I am loyal to you til the end.
I'm not a mean horse though. Shy and jumpy, but definitely not mean.
Well, at least I try not to be... But you see, every now and then I make a mistake and someone gets hurt. I don't know how or why it happens, but it does. I never remember what happens exactly but in the end, the humans always give me this sad, sympathetic look when I come to check on them afterward. I always fear they will hit me for messing up, but they never do. It's hard to remember they won't, even after two years of kind treatment.

And now, at this new place, I'm even more fearful. (I have slowly grown accustomed to this place. It's finally becoming home to me.)
I just started to realize how kind these people are to me though, so I think I will like it here, though I still don't like the new people.

Another thing had started just this year, right before I came to this stable.
I'm not sure what it is, but I see monster and demons or even think that my first owners are riding me. I bolt and I can't remember much after that. The second I come to though, someone is already hurt. I don't know how or why, but I know I did it.
Sam calls them 'spells'. I don't think she blames me for them. She seems to understand how they come about and often stops me before I see things that aren't there.
I just hope I don't hurt anyone again.

My Favorite Treat is I'm not really one for treats but I do like apples
My Favorite Person Is Sam. She's kind and worked to earn my trust. Instead of trying to show me who's boss, she spoke to me in my own language. (Join-up- look in workouts)
In A Race I'm rather jumpy under saddle at the walk and trot but I love to gallop. It's the one time I can acturally think.
I'm rather fierce in a race. I know what I'm there for, what I'm suppose to do, and I love every second of it. I'm not scared to bump a horse out of the way or get close to an aggressive looking horse. Heck, I'm not scared of much while I'm galloping.
I am often in the middle of the pack and end up weaving my way through to the front. I never have gotten stuck behind anyone as I always end up finding some way out. Maybe it's luck or karma, who knows but it seems to work.
And though it may seem like I would be fearful of the gate, I am.
It's just that I am more fearful of what may become of me if I bulk at the gate then the gate itself. So I will walk in without a fuss by my muscles quiver and my eyes grow wide as I wait that agonizingly long wait for that bell.
Luckily though, Sam seemed to understand after our first race and now has be put in the gate last.
My Past As a youngster, I was mistreated. Whipped, hit, kicked, burnt, left with no warmth of a blanket or shelter from the rain, and even left without food or water from time to time. You name it, and it probably happened to me.
I don't have resentment or a grudge against humans. I do still fear the new humans, however.
After two years, a new family found me. I started my racing career with them and slowly began to trust people.
Then something happened. (That's when my spells started.)
I don't remember much, but someone got hurt. I don't remember seeing them after that.
Soon after, I was brought here.
I guess it's my second chance.[/size]
